Matthew Brennand Roper
Dr. Matthew Brennand Roper, MClinDent (Pros), BDS, MPros RCSEd, FDS (Rest.Dent) RCSEd, FDS RCPSG is a consultant and specialist in restorative dentistry and specialist in prosthodontics. Dr. Brennand Roper is the restorative lead for dental developmental deformities, cleft and hypodontia at the Bristol Dental Hospital and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow and the International Team for Implantology (ITI). He is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Bristol. In 2018, he was elected to the UK and Ireland Young ITI Committee, and to the Section Leadership Team in 2022. He also part of the Global Young ITI Group. Dr. Brennand Roper is an examiner for the University of Bristol and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and a both nationally and internationally invited speaker with publications in peer-reviewed journals. His research interests and international grants lie within the fields of hard and soft tissue regenerative procedures associated with hypodontia and implant therapies.

Group 1 of the 7th ITI Consensus Conference was tasked with delivering a consensus report and statements that included clinical recommendations, recommendations for future research and reflections on patient perspectives for two themes: the effect of buccal bone wall thickness (BBT) on vertical bone loss and stability of the peri-implant hard and soft tissues following implant placement in healed ridges, and the outcomes of soft tissue augmentation (STA) around implant sites.
