Marcel Hanisch
Marcel Hanisch, DDS, PhD, is a dentist and oral surgeon at artedent Dental Clinic, Munich and a researcher at the Department of Cranio-Maxillofacial Surgery at the University Hospital Munster (Germany). From 2015 – 2021, he was a senior physician in the Department of Cranio-Maxillofacial Surgery at the University Hospital Munster, where he also received his PhD. After working at the Implaneo Dental Clinic (Bolz-Wachtel), he joined artedent in Munich in October 2021. He is still part of the Department of Cranio-Maxillofacial Surgery at the University Hospital Munster.

Choosing the best treatment plan for growing patients remains a challenging task even for an experienced dentist. Numerous general, local and individual considerations have an impact on the final treatment outcome. Therefore, a comprehensive understanding of etiologic and pathogenic, anatomic and developmental, surgical and prosthetic, patient- and parent-centered factors must be considered to obtain predictable and long-term results.
