Judy Chia-Chun Yuan
Dr. Judy Chia-Chun Yuan is an Assistant Professor and the Director of Predoctoral Implant Education at the University of Illinois at Chicago, College of Dentistry. Dr. Yuan received her BA from UC Berkeley. She received her DDS, Certificate in Prosthodontics and MS from SUNY Buffalo. She was an ITI Scholar in Bern, Switzerland. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics.

Implant dentistry has become a predictable treatment to restore esthetics, form and oral function. The placement and restoration of dental implants has increased significantly worldwide. Therefore, the need to provide implant education to dental students is paramount. The purpose of this paper was to describe the journey of implant programs at dental schools on several continents.
