Hsin Yu (Selene) Kuo

Dr. Hsin Yu (Selene) Kuo, DDS, MS, received her specialty degree in prosthodontics and a master’s degree in dental science from Kaohsiung Medical University College of Dentistry (Taiwan) in 2011. She continued her educational journey by completing her training at the Department of Prosthodontics, Columbia University College of Dental Medicine (New York, USA), from which she graduated in 2016 with both a diploma in prosthodontics and a Master of Science degree. She was subsequently appointed a Clinical Assistant Professor at both New York University College of Dentistry and Columbia University College of Dental Medicine from 2016 to 2018 before relocating to Taipei to serve as faculty at Taipei Medical University College of Dentistry. She was further certified as accredited lecturer by the Ministry of Health and Welfare Taiwan at Chung Shan Medical University College of Oral Medicine. She is also board-certified in prosthodontics by the Academy of Prosthetic Dentistry, ROC Taiwan. Dr. Kuo has further extended her horizons beyond dentistry by completing an Executive MBA degree at the College of Management, National Taiwan University. In 2022, she won the first prize in the clinical competition for dental implants by Bego Academy, where she presented a comprehensive full-mouth implant rehabilitation case utilizing an innovative digital workflow featuring a navigated computer-assisted implant surgical approach. With her expertise in digital dentistry and navigated computer-assisted surgery, Dr. Kuo is very active in the academic field through publications and frequently lectures both nationally and internationally. She runs her own ITI Study Club, “DentSTech/NaviSmile”, where she shares fundamental knowledge and experience in dynamic navigated approaches for complex dental implant cases. Currently, Dr. Kuo runs her own private practice in Taipei City, focusing on digital prosthodontics, navigated computer-assisted treatment and digital full-mouth implant rehabilitation. She serves as a key opinion leader for global dental companies, including Straumann, 3Shape, Ivolclar, and Asiga. She is also involved with several prestigious dental academies and holds fellowships with organizations including the ITI and the Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontics.
