Carolina Miller Mattos De Santana

Dr. Carolina Miller Mattos De Santana, DDS, MScD, PhD is an Associate Professor of Periodontology at Fluminense Federal University, Niterói, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She received her DDS, a graduate degree in prosthodontics, a Master of Science in dentistry and a PhD degree in Brazil. Dr. Carolina Santana is a clinician and scholar with multiple awards for her clinical and scientific achievements. Her research focus includes esthetics in periodontology and implant dentistry, periodontal plastic surgery and advanced prosthodontics. She has published more than thirty original articles in high-impact refereed international journals and has four published book chapters. She has lectured extensively on the topics of periodontal and peri-implant esthetics and multidisciplinary perio-implantology and is a member of several important international associations in dentistry.
