Dr. Aya Khamis is a clinical researcher and clinician at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, University Medical Center Mainz. She holds a Master in Oral Pathology and a Ph.D. in Translational Medicine from the University Medical Center Mainz and leads translational research on oral cancer, implantology, and bone physiology. She is the Scientific Director of the Master Program in Personalized Oral Implantology and Periodontology and Group Leader for Translational Research in Implantology and Bone Physiology.
