Anja Zembic
PD Dr. Anja Zembic is a Senior Teaching and Research Assistant at the Clinic of Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics, University of Zurich and works in private practice. She was an ITI Scholar and research fellow at the University of Amsterdam (ACTA). Her research interests are fixed implant prosthodontics in partially edentulous patients and implant overdentures in edentulous patients, for which she received research awards from the Swiss and Netherlands Society of Implantology (SGI, NVOI). She is an ITI Fellow and holds a specialist title in Reconstructive Dentistry from the Swiss Society of Prosthodontics as well as from the European Prosthodontic Association. She is an ITI Peer Reviewer and reviewer of several scientific journals.

The clinician is confronted with the availability of a huge number of dental implants and components today. As a consequence, the choice for the ideal implant and abutment type in each individual situation is quite complex. The goal of implant treatment is to achieve long-term stable implants and restorations which are functionally and esthetically appealing, exhibit healthy peri-implant conditions and create high patient satisfaction.
