Ali Murat Kökat
Prof. Dr. Ali Murat Kökat graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Dentistry in 1998 and completed his PhD in Prosthetic Dentistry in 2004. He worked as lecturer at Yeditepe University and continued his career at Rheinische Friedrich Wilhelms University as an ITI Scholar in the field of oral, dental and maxillofacial diseases and surgery from 2008 to 2009. He received the title of Associate Professor in 2012 and was appointed University Professor in the Department of Prosthodontics at the Faculty of Dentistry, Okan University, in 2018. He currently is the coordinator of PhD program for prosthetic dentistry at Istanbul Aydın University and continues to work at his private practice. Dr. Kökat focuses on digital dentistry, porcelain laminate veneers and implantology, and published numerous articles in international peer-reviewed journals. He also regularly delivers courses and lectures on these topics. He has translated eight books into Turkish and has authored chapters in two books on implant dentistry. Dr. Kökat has been an ITI Fellow since 2011 and served as Communications Officer, Education Delegate and Chair on the ITI Section Türkiye Leadership Team. He is also a member of ITI Board of Mentors.
